This will be the third time here. No complaints before so coming back again! Great breakfast special during the week! 2 eggs with home fries, toast & jelly for $1.99. Normally $4.99 on weekends. Love them deals!

This place has great basic diner food. Don't expect top-tier restaurant food here...and you shouldn't. It's a diner folks. Have had great breakfast food with home fries that aren't put in the frier or are shredded. They're cooked on the flat top. Pot roast was good, as were the ribs my wife had. Also, we've not had a bad server yet. Always friendly and helpful. Pros: very varied menu with something for everyone; food is good, service is good, prices reasonable. Cons: (why I downgraded from 4 to 3 stars) usually, the dining room is uncomfortably warm, like they are trying to save on electricity, or not adjusting for heat load. Also, the only thing I've seen on their TV's is one of those channels that poses as a news channel but is really a propaganda outlet. Not being political, just calling it as I see it.

This is a 5 star DINER!! They have large portions for a great price. All of the bread is made in-house and is wonderful. Don't come here and order a steak, and expect the Capital grill, as this is not a steak house!! But it is a good piece of meat for the price. A large variety of items to choose from if you can't decide what your in the mood for or have a large party to please. I love the breakfast menu! I've tried almost every item and it is all very good. Nothing fancy, just a good, home cooked meal. Great wait staff, and more than reasonable prices!!

We are only giving it one star as you have to assign something. Horrible service here for breakfast had to get up and ask for more coffee. Ordered eggs Benedict pretty much a staple of breakfast mine came out dark yellow like it was under the lights for too long. Potatoes had no flavor either crispy half cooked and blackish around edges like peaked and left out of water pretty tasteless would never recommend going here stay on 41 south go to Bonita and find old 41 diner at least it is great food !

This establishment has been open for 3 weeks. Brought my out of town guests here not knowing exactly where we were going for dinner. So we saw "grand opening" and "open 24 hours"!!! Ahhhhh! Just like home in NJ. It's a lovely diner. Nicely decorated. Wonderful service!!!! The food was very tasty!! I got the Greek combo of moussaka, pasticchio, and spanikopita. The Greek salad was awesome. Loaded with feta and also had anchovies and dolmitas. Some of my food was not heated through enough, but still yummy!!! It wasn't worth it to me to send it back to be reheated. Everyone enjoyed their food very much. The selection is huge, are the portions!!! Prices are very reasonable!!! Will definitely be back!!! Looking forward to trying breakfast!!! Owners ran diners in PA. Sold them and moved down here. Lovely people. Come on in and give them your business!!!!

I am surprised to see all the recent bad reviews for this diner. All I can say is, people, this is a diner, set your expectations and make your food selections with that in mind. We had a solid breakfast here, omelets, bacon, french toast, scrambled eggs, ham, home fries, dry toast, etc. Everything was good and cooked as ordered and our waitress was notably pleasant and friendly. I would go out of my way to come here over the travesty that is Mel's Diner.

If I lived in the area, I know where I'd be going for a quick bite or after a late night out. Great value, good food and best of all... opened 24/7! It's worth a stop.. Great Family Type Diner. Nextime, I'm coming for breakfast.

Great menu selection..opens 24 hrs. Had roast leg of lamb n oven roasted potatoes, it was good nothing special but rare to see lamb at a diner plus the price. He had baked pork chops with mashed potatoes n lima beans. According to him, chops were a bit overcooked n lima beans undercooked (I thought lima beans were perfect but I like crunchy veggies). Modern decor and clean. Our waitress was slow and absent minded at least she tried. Too full to try desserts but it looked good and again lots to choose from.

Terrible. Just terrible. I got the gyro sandwich, thinking that since they had a Greek selection it'd be a good choice. The gyros my high school cafeteria served were seriously better. My wife got the prime rib (medium). What I'm thinking made the food take FOREVER to come out was they were busy overcooking the hell outta my wife's meal. Oh and she ordered broccoli and cole slaw as sides. Cole slaw never showed and the broccoli was literally ONE STALK. Granted it was a good sized stalk of broccoli but it was just sad. She said it was mushy. The waitress seemed annoyed that I bothered to come to this restaurant. I will never come back here and neither should you.

Classic American diner. Good for breakfast, but nothing special. Pretty much what you would expect from a diner.

Ordered the 2 eggs, meat, home fries and toast special for $5.99. Received 4 hearty pieces of bacon. Great portions at a great value. You can tell everything is homemade. Check it out!

We sat down in this new diner at 10:30 am ish. We were presented the breakfast menu. Since it was a 24/7 diner, I was expecting a menu with all courses of the day. However, when we did ask for a lunch menu, it was happily presented to us. The place was very nice. Home with a modern feel. There is also outside seating to those who prefer that. I ordered the Italian Panini, and my boyfriend ordered the Smokehouse Burger. Along with it came potato chips, coleslaw, and a pickle. However we each replaced the potato chips for french fries ($1.25 ish each). The food was great, but the french fries were AMAZING! It was crispy, but potato like in the inside... how it should be. It was very good though. Everyone there were very kind. Our server was Brenda, and she gave great, honest suggestions. I would recommend this place to families, tourists, college students... anyone. Definitely returning! We plan to stop by in a few hours to grab milkshakes!

Great greasy spoon breakfast diner. It's exactly what we needed in the area. Nothing crazy, just good food, good portions at a more than reasonable price. I haven't tried anything other than breakfast and not sure that I would...

There were a couple of bad reviews for this restaurant over the last few days and I can see why. This was our first time visiting this place and I don't think we will be back. It started out good - the waitress came and took our drink orders right away. She seemed very attentive but that didn't last long. She told us she would bring a basket of rolls but they never arrived. Our salad plates sat on the table even after our main courses arrived. I had to flag her down because she brought a refill of the wrong soda. No apology - and she never once asked us how our food was. Only the soda was ever refilled. None of the rest of us ever got a water or tea refill. The food was only ok. The menu is big and I'm sure some things on their must be good but they weren't the items we chose today.. I had the roast lamb special. The lamb had obviously been cooked several days prior and just reheated - it was very dry and crispy on the edge. There was no seasoning at all on it and they had topped it with some beef gravy. The potatoes were oven roasted Greek style and were ok. The ranch dressing on the salad tasted sour and "off". One of my companions had a "chicken parmesan panini" which was a fried chicken patty with a slice of ham and some cheese melted on it. No sauce and nothing on the bread like mayo or mustard. My other companion had the meatloaf that had obviously been sitting under the lights for a while before it was served because the gravy had a skin on top. The mashed potatoes were real and the meatloaf was good. It's disappointing since the place has a lot of potential, but with bad service and not very good food I don't expect it to be around long.

Glad I tried it again! This time we had a special - Chicken Francese. For only $12.99 you get a huge portion, definitely enough for two, plus a cup of soup and 2 sides. Tender and delicious. Will definitely come back.

Now a second time we have visited this diner and it was just as good as the first. The food is real good. My wife and I have had breakfast the last two visits, but our kids have tried lunch/dinner. Our one son had a bacon cheeseburger and it had to have been one of the best ever! Pancakes, French toast and omelette have all been great!! You must patronize this place and keep it in business. This is just what SW FL needs, a solid 24 hour diner!!

We dined outside. We were first sat inside then decided to move out to enjoy the day. The staff accommodated happily. We ordered the sampler appetizer and two sandwiches. I loved the sweet corn hush puppies! I had never had them before but that's something I'd definitely return for. Ham and swiss melt on pretzel bun was good but next time I think I'll order something different. Also they didn't have any alcohol but the nice server told us was coming, so I'll be returning!

My friend and I stopped here at 11:30pm on a Thursday after a concert in Naples where everything closes at 10:00pm. We had a great dinner of classic diner fare. I had a patty melt wirh fries and a fried mushrooms appetizer. She had a chicken gyro and chicken noodle soup. Delicious. Courteous and prompt service. A great late night alternative to the limited options in Fort Myers.

This place was good I must admit, it has all new interior with a classic vibe. The food can get pricey which I wasn't very pleased about. The waitress was super nice but be careful, she asked about a thousand things that each add an up charge once you get the bill. I felt like I was being used by a stripper it was horrible. The food was well prepared but not exactly the best quality. Definitely an American diner because the food is straight off the Cisco truck. In all it was a swell experience, the waitress was actually pretty nice and my drink was never empty.

My wife, son and I had been looking forward to trying American Classic Diner for a while now. What a disappointment! While the restaurant itself appears from first glance to be well put together, on second look, it's dirty! I also don't think we came into contact with one employee that had a personality the whole time. Many "employees" were at the bar area chatting and not paying attention, one of the kitchen staff was asleep outside at a table until it was time for a cigarette. This staff member then proceeded to go through the dining room in his dirty kitchen attire, get a cigarette and go back outside to "relax", it really was gross. Our food was just OK at best. My burger was way overcooked and my wifes open faced meatloaf hot sandwich was luke warm and dry. We actually watched one table get up and leave after waiting 15 minutes to place their order. It's really unfortunate because this place could really be something great for families to come and get a quick bite to eat at a non-chain. We love the diner atmosphere, simple, good food and homemade deserts. American Classic is far from that. Instead it's a poorly run, dirty diner with unprofessional staff and just OK food that we won't be back for. My wife really wanted to try the blueberry pie but she said she couldn't bring herself to stay one more minute. $37 spent and a bad taste in our mouths to take with us, what a shame.

Let's get right down to the nuts and bolts of this place: it's open 24 hours a day. That alone is just astonishing considering the geographic location. They offer all the familiar diner classics you would expect and let me tell you... S'all good! I suppose I could be critical about what I ordered and discuss the level of quality the food was at, or how knowledgable the servers were... But to be honest, none of that really matters. This is a casual hangout place, or that pit stop you were praying for... It might be the only cure to late night munchies... Good food, reasonable prices, and friendly service. Looking forward to going back! I would give it 5 stars but 4 for a diner is already unheard of... Gotta keep the star values in check people!

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. First the waiter forgot the lemons for my tea not once but twice, he seemed high or stoned. After about 30 min and no salads or soups we asked one of the other waiters and he was very helpful in getting us our salads this was the highlight of the trip. Another 30 min passes and our stoned waiter returns to "verify" what we had ordered and to inform us the kitchen had lost the ticket. We told him to cancel the order. I asked the busser please get the manager. After about 5 minutes she finally came over and had a bad attitude about the whole situation. I inquired if she was an owner and she in fact is one of the owners. It all make sense at that point, when you have owners who don't see nor care about how their place is being run then this is the result. These folks have no business owning a restaurant and should find a new line of work. All american diner will die just as every restaurant before it in that same location has.
